Was small but glassy today... calm before the storm??? Waves were about maybe 1ft but was getting eaten by the tide as the morning progressed.
No need come tom'w it'll be smaller, crowded, and rainy Veteran's Day.

Whoa... came down a lot from yesterday. It was in the 1-1.5ft range and inconsistent. Right Next was the best with some 2ft.
I didn't go out, just ran and worked out, let my finger dry out a day or so. May stand up tom'w.
New Ripper
That's right, the new model is out and PSH Gurl/Scratch was on the 9'3" PSH Ripper. This model is pulled in from the previous model. 28 1/4 wide and only 4 1/4 thick. It has a 4 + 1 Future/Box set up. The rail out line looks a lot better, with thinner rails most notable in the nose and tail. The tail and nose are more pulled in. Looks to have a slight single into a more aggressive double concave - vee in the tail. She said she took it out country and luvs it. Hasn't tried it as a quad yet.
Waiting list is like 70 people long! But me and Russ was drooling! I say wait 'til da next shipment when some loser finds out he can't ride it and pick it up on Craigslist for $200 less.
OR can try da 2Lay approach... Must be a Chinese board because she nevah let Hitouchi! Will see if I can change dat!
OK,, drove down to Erd Man and Mokes looked bigger than yesterday but waters were lumpy with side on stuffs. I un-officially started my Christmas shopping by venturing into Surf and Sea (but didn't buy knowing). From S&S Puena's had a few surfers and Haleiwa Point had some waves... maybe 3-4.... hard to tell from so far away however the waters were nice. That's all the report I got. I just checked the cams and Lanis was looking good. Did we surf the wrong side today?

Surf is coming more inconsistent and smaller but still got sum. Maybe in the 1 to really occ 3. Was glassy in the early morning and then the winds picked up.
Disastah?
On like my 6th wave I fell of my board and it popped up behind me with it's tail facing me, maybe like 3 strokes a way. Butt when I went to grab it maybe a chop or something hit me or the board but I ended up taking a chunk out of my right pinky. I caught 4 more waves debating whether or not to come in but it was stinging and dragging in the water so I went in around 6:30am, only about 45 minutes! Maybe good enuff for a weekend warrior or a dry Chicanorean, butt not for an UnEmployed.
Mahalo to Lisa for da band aid and cleaning da park.
Not a complete disastah though because I just ended up going Chinatown to get sum dim sum for da crew. Went to Royal Kitchen picked up some Manapua, Pork Hash, Roast Pork, and Mai Tai's(u) (Jonny said there's da best). Thank you to Jonnhy for holding my board.
Chinatown
Couldn't find a BOH atm that worked around Ward so I had to use one in Chinatown... umm yea before 7am in da morning... Proved to be a mini adventure.
Parked by Char Hung Sut (almos always guarantee parking by da drug park) saw da owner outside because was empty smiled told me come in, told him I needed cash butt I'd be back.
Den I put on my shades and skulked around like an a-dick to blend in. And whadda ya know it works... surfing everyday for da tan does pay off. Maybe I looked too convincing... my fellow dick's were all saying hi, people turning to walk da other way.
I even had 1 cruising blue Ford Explorer yelling at me a few times, "Luther get in da car!" And I said "NAH!" gave'um a couple ticks of da neck and tucked inside Mauna Kea Market. Den I saw'um again as I progressed up and out towards da Cultural Plaza right in front of Legends and they was honking there horn yelling again.
Anyways I den moved up to Royal Kitchen turned on my charm and got a pretty decent discount, better den what I would've gotten from Char Hung Sut. Supposed to be $1.10 a piece, so initially I ordered 12 Manapua, 12 Pork Hash, 6 Mai Tai's = $33+tax - I only had $40.
So they ring me up and she said $24 sumting, and I say oh give me 2 Manapua's separate for da road & a pound roast pork... so $2.20+$7.95 (Pork). So she rings me up and says $30.85. And she gives me one rice cake and 2 more pork hash in my brown bag with my separate Manapua's... AND it was more then a pound of roast pork!
So da bill should've been $33+2.20+3.30 (rice cake, pork hash bonus)+$7.95 + tax ($2.10) = $48.55 for $30.85... NOT bad without Mr. Lau!
Walked back through da Cultural Plaza and looked both ways before da Explorer found me again. Ended up stuck right behind them leaving Chinatown outside Nam Fong when dey just stopped to make a deal.
Bonus
Here's a pic, most nevah come out, I was messing with da settings on my camera out of boredom while I waited for da crew to come in. Might make it my banner after Christmas.
Well I was thinking Country but maybe town was the call? Still had some waves... not the bestest of conditions but very doable. I'll check out Erd Man later and maybe get some shots from Mokes. I think we'll be eating Ray's chicken tonight with some puffies!!
Ho-ho-ho
Lil sumth'n sumth'n for (almost) everybody:
SUP'rman - SUP banner
Jonny - dat's his pic
Chica - das her SUB
Unemployed - I look nuff like dat guy already
TCDawnPatro - dis is a Dawn Patrol pic
Day 4 - Kona
Today's tour brought to you buy Pontiac G6 - it's like a 3 level upgrade from what I rented, but just like the Dodge Caliber, I've driven these before - just standard rental car fleet stuff.
Here's a surf sighting - I'm on the high road passing Keahou - so yeah prolly lots bigger than it looks here - siik
Yup must've had surf because here's some boards. When I first seen them I thought was dead bodies - like da kine you see on CNN or National Geographic - look like da same kine cloth.
Cool thing about big island is dat they get da real kine trucks. Wats dat? Well see for yourself -
#1 - See that lil white truck on da side, dat's a Nissan Frontier like Kaip & Lay-Lays, da roof line of da Nissan is da same height as da Truck bed! Da tires same height as da Nissan mirrors!
#2 - Dat truck is like 1/2 way into da parking, look how much is stick'n out... look da Nissan, all da way in da space and still no cover da parking sign underneath.
Most trucks on da island is da size of da Dodge (most of 'em are Dodges) but da cool part is that all da parking spaces are HUGE! but same goes for all da neighbor islands, definitely not like da kine get Downtown Honolulu.
WORK
Yes I was really here doing work, just to prove it I took a pic of the place I had to work at for proof.
Mangos
Da cool part about dis trip is dat I got to visit my grandma when I was pau work (why I had to stretch da pics, cuz I never take too many). She got an acre of property above da airport dat got lots of fruit trees - 4 mango, 1 lemon, 2 avocados. Anyways she had choke mangos - nuff said since I no more any for share, my family whacked all da ones I brought home. Here's da pic (BTW - da pen is for scale otherwise I think I'm hanging out too much w/ CT)
Like koomoo, all sik :( I finished typing a bunch and imported pics only to jump to google to check a spelling on a word and didn't save da blog and lost everything... dammm.... only pics now and you can make up your own story...

Still got some size but today was windy. SO was junk the tide was too high it was slopy and crumbly. I paddled over to ML's where da tardy Sheriff's peak was EPIC and makeable. I was channeling my "inner Kimura."
Caught so many GUUD waves I paddled in just before 8am and have no clue what to do with da rest of da morning.
No pics, I saw CT and Jonny taking, so I didn't bother. Check their blog.
Whoa!! 7 comments yesterday! I think that's the most I ever had... Maybe I can retire now.... nah. Today I started out at Ren's cuz had no one and it's be catching this swell pretty gud! My first and only wave was a gud one then I saw Jon and Brian coming out so I went to the homeland. Surf was bigger than yesterday but not as klean... but still very fun and I think funner for me.
